Three Sisters to Mt. Hood (7/7)

Road Trip Day 7

Tuesday Oct. 15, 2019

We love Mackenzie Pass so much, we figured why not do it twice!

Actually, I really wanted to photograph Proxy Falls.

And since we were passing the Dee Wright Observatory again, may as well make another stop. There were sooooo many Golden Mantled Ground Squirrels out and about. I love these little guys, so here are a million photos of them.

The weather was different this time – there was a storm rolling in.  Dramatic clouds mean dramatic photographs!

And then it was off to the Timberline Lodge on Mt. Hood!  And of course, some pretty f’n unreal photo ops.

This place has a tinyass GYM!!  But I hadn’t lifted anything in a week by this point, so I was happy to see SOMETHING.  Blasted out a quick high volume shoulder workout, and then….. work?!

Remember the project we started at the Ahwahnee in Yosemite?  Well we had some more work to do here at Timberline.  Again, I gotta keep it super vague, but….. Does this photo of me give off any clues?

Some food and drink, and then it was back outside to capture Mt. Hood at night!  Was hoping to shoot some star trails, but alas, too much cloud.  Still some cool photos though!

Then it was an awesome night’s sleep, and a farewell to Road Trip 2019!
