Yosemite National Park – Merced River from Pohono Bridge

The Bomb Cyclone in Yosemite National Park was on its way out – it was still raining steadily, but nothing at all like it had been for the previous few days. The Merced River was especially high for this time of year, so it only made sense to go photograph it!

The Pohono Bridge was a good spot for a couple different reasons. The first one was that you could safely walk the riverbank even with that amount of flow, and also… bridges are cool, right?!

I loved doing some long exposures here to capture the movement of the Merced River, and it was a perfect backdrop to the wet leaves and the gorgeous fall colors!
